Youth of Yangon is the story of a group of skateboarders discovered in 2009 in our first documentary, Altered Focus: Burma. It looks at their passion for the activity juxtaposed with the hardships they face doing something they love.
Youth of Yangon premiered in Yangon in February. It has been part of the Official Selection at the 2013 Newport Beach Film Festival in Los Angeles, The Byron Bay International Film Festival and the Canadian Sports Film Festival. It was nominated for ‘Best Documentary’ at the 2013 International Skateboard Film Festival.
